Bio
Richard B. Goddard is an accomplished government affairs strategist and senior congressional aide with over two decades of high-level experience in federal legislative operations, political consulting, and policy development. Most recently he served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Mark Amodei (R-NV).
Previously, Richard was Director of Federal Government Affairs at the Beer Institute, where he was the primary Capitol Hill liaison representing 93% of the U.S. brewing industry. He developed and executed federal lobbying strategies focused on tax, regulatory, and transportation issues.
Richard began his career on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant to multiple members of Congress, including Senators and Representatives from Georgia and North Carolina. His expertise includes appropriations, defense policy, and legislative strategy, with extensive experience drafting and guiding legislation through the legislative process.
A graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Political Science and a pre-law minor, Richard has also been a key consultant on eight federal political campaigns, including two presidential races. His political acumen and leadership have been instrumental in shaping public policy and guiding successful election strategies at the national level.
